Range Rover Leather Repair – Case Study
Before & After
The Challenge
A customer from Cobham got in touch after noticing blue dye from her jeans had transferred onto the driver’s seat of her Range Rover. Wanting to remove the marks, her valet used an abrasive cleaner that ended up stripping off the protective coating from the perforated leather. The seat was left with a dull, patchy look and a rough feel — not what you want in a luxury interior.
The client required auto leather seat repair, with the colour, texture, and finish brought back to its original factory look.
Our Process
1. Assessment & Preparation
We began by inspecting the damage and planning the best approach for a long-lasting repair. The seat was carefully cleaned to remove any residue from the previous cleaner. Once the area was ready, we masked off the surrounding panels to make sure the work stayed precise and contained.
2. Hand-Mixed Colour Match
Every Range Rover interior has its own unique tone and finish, so we created a custom colour mix on site. This ensures the new pigment matches perfectly, both in colour and sheen, for a seamless result.
3. Re-Pigmentation & Refinishing
The damaged section was re-pigmented using high-quality professional leather coatings. We then applied a protective lacquer to restore the original texture and protect the seat from future wear, staining, and fading.
4. Blending & Detailing
To make the repair invisible, we airbrushed the restored area into the surrounding leather. This step ensures a smooth transition and a finish that looks — and feels — like it just came from the factory.
The Result
The end result was a perfect match. The jeans dye stains were gone, the leather’s soft feel returned, and the finish looked completely natural. The client was thrilled, saying the repair was “absolutely flawless — it looks brand new again.”

A lot of our work comes from word of mouth, so we often find ourselves doing automotive leather seat repair in London, then heading over for car leather seat repairs in Surrey, and sometimes finishing the week with a car seat leather repair in Sussex.
Every job’s a little different, but the goal never changes — get that leather looking and feeling the way it should, solid, clean, and factory fresh.
